CIO Changes – August 12 – August 27, 2009

• Ali Charri was named SVP of Business Intelligence at Darden Restaurants. He was formerly Group Director of Strategic Initiatives at SABMiller Brewing.
• Wayne Proctor became VP, IT Group Manager of Information Security at Bank of the West. He left his position as Chief Information Security Officer at First Data to join Bank of the West.

• Ed Escobedo was named VP of IT Services at Apollo Group. He now leads a 1200 person global team with a $155M budget.
• Karen Beebe was named VP of Systems and Development at Chico's FAS. Beebe was CTO at Bath and Body Works until March 2009.
• Moira Bailey was named Director of End User Services at International law firm Sidley Austin. Bailey is based out of Sidley's US HQ in Chicago
• Steven Penn was recently promoted to AVP and CFO of Enterprise Technology at The Hartford. He was most recently Controller for Enterprise Technology.
• Bonnie Ward was named Head of Network Infrastructure at Cigna. Ward served as VP of Hosting Services at Liberty Mutual until May 2009.
• Keith Morrow was named Chief Information Officer at Blockbuster. Morrow's most recent corporate position was as CIO position at 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven chose VP of Logistics, Wes Hargrove, as their new CIO upon Morrow’s departure.
• Tammy Moskites was named CISO at Home Depot. Moskites leaves Huntington National Bank. Julie Lucas is now VP of Info Security at Huntington.
• Best Buy named John Valente as CISO. He returns to Best Buy after working for them as an Accenture employee.
• Wilson's Leather recently appointed a new Chief Information Officer. Jeff Loeb, former VP of Merchandise Planning and Allocation for Wilson’s, will now head Wilson’s IT organization.
• CNA Insurance recently hired Christopher Dormer as VP of Systems Development. Dormer was Head of IT Portfolio Management at Aetna until Dec. 2008.

• Allianz North America is currently searching for a new CIO. Tom Bauer has been selected to serve as Interim CIO for Allianz.
• APC Schneider Electric names Herve Coureil as their new Chief Information Officer.

• State of Virginia names George Coulter as the CIO of the Virginia Information Technologies Agency.
• Interpublic's Mediabrands unit has named Scott Beltran as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

U.S. Air Force selects HP as Key Technology Provider in Enterprise Purchase. Details Here: USAF HP Contract

Oracle/Deloitte recently closed a $6 Mil with TJX. Oracle/Deloitte also recently announced wins at Land O Lakes and QVC. While Oracle in combination with Wipro and PWC announced wins at CROCS, MCGraw Hill and Diebold.

IBM has a busy month announcing major wins with BP, W.R. Grace & CO, as well as a multi-year agreement with Nomura Services.
